Michael Rath is highly regarded for his trombone designs, but what is less well known is that he spent ten years working with Paxman’s making French Horns.
The JP261 RATH is a full double Bb/F French horn that incorporates an exclusively designed Rath leadpipe and a Geyer-style layout. This design contributes to an instrument with minimal resistance and excellent freeblowing characteristics across the entire register.
The thumb lever, finger hook, and ducks foot on the JP261 RATH are all adjustable, allowing for a customised hand position. This feature makes it particularly well-suited for younger players seeking a comfortable full double horn.
